Ensalada De Bacalao ( Bacala Salad )

Ensalada De Bacalao, Bacala Salad

 

 

 

 

 

 

      Ingredients:

  • Sauce

  • 1 cup Olive Oil

  • 1 lb. Saltfish Fillets

  • ½ cup Vinegar

  • 1 lb. Onion

  • ½ teaspoon Salt

  • 1 lb. large Tomatoes

  • ¼ teaspoon Ground Pepper

      Directions:

  • Soak the saltfish in fresh water for 4 hours.

  • Drain and set to boil in 2 liters of water for 15 minutes.

  • Remove saltfish from the water, rinse it in fresh water and remove the skin and bones.

  • Break the fillets into small pieces.

  • Slice onions. Peel and slice tomatoes.

  • Place the saltfish in a bowl and garnish with the onions and tomatoes.

  • Pour the sauce on top of garnished saltfish.

  • Serve cold.
